Director of Fundraising

Simba, a native of Zimbabwe, is leading the fundraising initiatives for Seeds of Africa. He is also the Founder and Director of Nandi Sugar and Bio-Energy (Nandi), a firm whose mission it is to develop sustainable agricultural and renewable energy projects in Africa. Nandi focuses on partnering with both small and large-scale farmers in the entire bio-energy supply chain, from the production of sugarcane and tropical sugar beet, to the development of sugar mills, cogeneration power plants and distilleries.

He received his undergraduate business degree from Howard University, Washington, DC. Prior to forming Nandi in 2009, Simba worked with Goldman Sachs where he was responsible for managing 12 Hedge Fund relationships with assets under management of two billion dollars and helped structure several private equity transactions in Southern Africa. He also has early career experience in the African tourism industry and with The Walt Disney Company.

Simba is passionate about education in Africa, having participated in two ING New York City Marathons to raise funds for the African Leadership Academy in South Africa.
